This is a company that tries to bring sustainability awareness of fashion brands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good on You is available on website and in app store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How does it work?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An analysts team uses both the information given by the company and other confidential data.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their goal is to rate the brand on the following grid:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/orangemodels.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-13-at-3.03.21-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16165\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three are the main key issues analyzed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1- People&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018This includes policies and practices on child labour, forced labour, worker safety, freedom of association (ie the right to join a union), gender equality, diversity, and payment of a living wage.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2- Planet&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018We consider each brand\u2019s resource use and waste management, including the types of materials they use, the sustainability of their business model, their product durability, commitment to circularity, and their textile waste practices. We investigate their policies to address energy use and carbon emissions, impacts on water, biodiversity, microfibre pollution, deforestation, and chemical use and disposal.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3- Animals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018We consider wool use, including \u2018mulesing\u2019 and whether and how the brand uses leather, down and other animal materials. We also look to see whether the brand has made commitments to reduce the number of animal products, and ensure that the animal welfare policy has clear mechanisms of implementation.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having said that, let\u2019s move on to Orange Models\u2019 selection of sustainable Canadian brands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
